TESTIMONIALS
"I have hired Hal Urban many times to do keynote addresses and workshops at our
regional, state, and local Healthy Choices for Youth conferences. These events are primarily attended by K-12th grade educators including guidance counselors, administrators, and classroom teachers. His upbeat message of hope, combined with a dynamic delivery, makes Hal a huge hit at our events. We often bring him back several years in a row to the same conferences because of popular demand."

"We have sponsored several workshops with Hal as our speaker and there has been an enthusiastic response every time. Teachers respect and relate to him because he has been right there 'in the trenches' with them. Some comments we've received:
"Excellent! He was so down-to-earth and gave us ideas we can really use!"
"It was a great use of my time."
"Hal Urban set a tone that inspires educators to take control of setting a positive tone in the classroom."
Not only is Hal an inspiring speaker and outstanding teacher, he also lives what he preaches. He is reliable, flexible, kind, and respectful. Participants leave the workshop renewed and invigorated they can't wait to start using what they have learned in their own classrooms."

"I have had the distinct pleasure of knowing Hal Urban for many years. I have always purchased his book in case quantities and provided it to my family, friends, and associates, as the message is so direct, uplifting, and important. I have also had the opportunity to sponsor Hal as a speaker to large and prestigious Rotary Clubs, and more importantly, to Rotary District Assemblies and Conferences. Hal's outstanding delivery, humor, enthusiasm, and message have always earned him a standing ovation from a group of professional, business, and civic leaders who are accustomed to excellent speakers. I would recommend Hal Urban as a speaker to any group who will be fortunate enough to hear his message."

"I have had the opportunity to hear Hal speak several times. In June, 2001, our school district Character Education committee attended a Character Education Conference in Cortland, New York. Hal was the keynote speaker, and we were all inspired. After hearing him in Cortland, we invited him to speak to our entire school district staff at the in-service day the following September. The response was overwhelming many teachers who had been in our district for several years said Hal was the best they had ever heard and learned from. Within the next year, he was invited back to speak with all the students in grades 6-12 in our district. They were as inspired as the teachers were.
I also heard Hal speak to a large group of consultants and directors with Mary Kay Cosmetics, including the National Sales Director. He spoke on the power of positive words. His stories, humor, and energy left us all with a desire to be better communicators.
Hal has the unique ability to captivate an audience immediately with his warmth, wit, and sincerity. It's obvious that he loves life, and he has a special gift for bringing out the best in other people. His hard-earned wisdom is always evident in his compelling stories. He takes his listeners on a joyous journey into how life can be when we develop the true goodness that is inherent in all of us.
His books are an extension of his wealth of knowledge and insight. All of us who have heard him speak or read his books are better for it."

"Although he speaks often to teachers and school children, my group of realtors found Hal Urban's presentation very inspiring as well. The ideas he shared were based on life experiences and were full of wisdom, humor, and common sense. His presentation on the impact that our words have in our everyday lives hit home with our brokers, managers, and sales associates. He reminded us that our words are choices, and urged us to choose positive ones that enhance life in the people around us and in ourselves. We are grateful for Hal sharing such an uplifting message that can be applied to all areas of life."

"The Hal Urban experience goes way beyond that of most authors, speakers, and teachers. He has spoken to thousands of educators over the past eleven years at our annual Character Education Conference in St. Louis. He is so well received that we feel compelled to bring him back each year for the rich experience provided for those attendees who have never heard his message, and the many who want to hear him again."

"I would strongly encourage attendance at a conference where Hal Urban is the presenter. He was the featured speaker at the Iowa Hospital Association's Nurse Executives and Educators Spring Conference in the spring of 2005. The evaluations were outstanding. His workshop was both fun and informative, and he provided the attendees with instant reward-based results. Much of the information he shared can be put to effective use with peers, students, family, friends, acquaintances everyone!
Hal has the ability to energize a group and make people want to be better tomorrow than they are today that's a talent!"

"Hal Urban is the most popular speaker to appear in the twenty-five year history of the school psychology lecture series at Kent State University! In addition, his presentations in our region to teachers, students, and parents have been embraced with great enthusiasm. Hal's message and practical tips are authenticated from his perspective of over thirty years as an award-winning teacher. Hal Urban is acclaimed from the classroom to the auditorium, from the workshop to the convention hall, and from the lecture room to the printed page. His books are as good as his spoken words. He is a man with a mission. Don't miss him!"

"Dr. Hal Urban gave keynote addresses in both 2003 and 2004 at the Florida Consortium for Social Responsibility and Character in Education. All of the attendees gave him outstanding evaluations. Here are two that were typical:
"Hal Urban is an asset to your conference. His presentation was amazing!"
"My favorite part of the entire conference was Dr. Urban's keynote."
As the program coordinator, I wish I could have Hal keynote every year. He is a phenomenal author, speaker, and human being. He exemplifies character and professionalism and he touches people of all ages and walks of life with positive energy and kindness."

"Hal Urban has been a regular keynoter for our college's Summer Institute in Character Education since our Center opened a decade ago. Nobody gets higher evaluations. Nobody does a better job of combining humor, personal stories, and practical wisdom. Nobody is a more credible advocate of character education and living a life that matters. And a rare talent he is equally good at delivering an uplifting message to teachers, parents, and kids. That's why we've recommended him to scores of groups around the country and around the world."
